What happens during my appointment?
All our mole and skin lesion checks are carried out by a Dermatology Specialist in one of our CQC registered clinics, using a Dermoscopy, enabling assessment of characteristics not visible to the naked eye. This means warning signs can be detected early, when treatment is most effective, least invasive and least expensive.
During your appointment, the expert clinician will talk you through their assessment, explaining any findings and treatment options, as well as providing you with preventative advice, to help keep your skin safe and healthy.

Our single and multiple mole and skin lesion checks are advised for those worried about changes or abnormalities they have noticed, and wish to have a professional assessment to make sure the lesion is safe (benign).
We advise everyone to have a full body mole and skin lesion assessment, by a professional, at least once in their lifetime. However this is particularly advisable for those who:
- Have ever been sunburnt
- Use or have ever used sunbeds
- Spend or have spent a lot of time outdoors e.g. for work or sport
- Have a personal or family history of skin cancer
- Have lots of moles
- Have fair skin, red or blonde hair, blue/green eyes

Many melanomas were found by our clinician in an early stage, while still 2-3 mm in size. Therefore we don’t just simply follow ABCDE rules, as your GP would.
